10 Year Anniversary

1/1/2015 • 10 Years Ago Today

January 1, 2015. The Aston Township Fire Department was put into service by Chief Michael Evans. Two (2) divisions comprise our department: the EMS and Fire divisions. When the Green Ridge Fire Department and the Aston Beechwood Fire Department combined to form the Aston Township Fire Department in 2015, we were created.

There were two stations in the department until the summer of 2016. The Career Ems team relocated to 2900 Dutton Mill Road at 7 p.m. in July 2016, which is where we currently function.

We presently have a Squad, a Truck, a Tac, an Engine, and three BLS ambulances. Career members and Volunteers make up the department. Over the course of our first decade, the department has received 25,663 CAD assignments in total. There were 18,517 EMS emergencies and 7,146 Fire emergencies. With 880 Fire and 2,904 Emergency Medical situations, 2024 has turned out to be the busiest year so far.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the amazing employees and committed volunteers who have served as the foundation of our organization over the last ten years. Our success has been greatly influenced by every one of you, and we sincerely appreciate the time, effort, and knowledge you have all given us.
