Aston Twp. Fire Dept

It is with great sadness that the Officers, Members, and Staff mourn the sudden passing of Aston Township Second Ward Commissioner Carol Graham. Commissioner Graham was a huge supporter of the ATFD and served as Fire Commissioner for many years. Commissioner Graham was also instrumental in the consolidation of the two Township Companies, Aston-Beechwood and Green Ridge. Sadly, Commissioner Graham was anxiously looking forward to the completion of the new Township Fire Station 17.

Commissioner Graham’s family were also very active within the Township. Her daughter Kit Spayd served as President of the Aston Beechwood Fire Company, and her Son-in-Law Nick Spayd was also an active member of the Aston Beechwood Fire Company and served as an Assistant Fire Marshal for the Township. Kit and Nick also served on the Fire Consolidation Committee.

Please keep the Graham and Spayd Families in your thoughts and prayers. Funeral details will be posted once arrangements are completed.

Respectfully,

Sean Joyce

Thank you for your service!

hope everyone is ok 👍

We were having accidents there in 1965

🙏May God Bless🙏 Eileen Fonseca every time I see an accident there I think of your daughter 🙏🙏

I hate that curve! Everyone drives way too fast and they do not stay in their lane!

When will that utility pole fall? Been like that for years. Hope all are ok

This is a bad bend. Hope everyone is ok.

Bad turn there . Ppl have to take your time

The Aston Twp. Volunteers and our mutual aid partners were dispatched to the area of Mildred Lane and Seward Lane for the residential fire. Squad and Chief 17 quickly made the response arriving with fire showing and went in service. Due to Collyers Mansion Conditions the structure was evacuated and an exterior fire operation was done until all fire was knocked down and crews could go inside and extinguish the remaining hot spots. Also on scene were the following companies:

Brookhaven Fire Co. Station 52 Delco, Pa
Upper Chichester Fire Department
Garden City Fire Company #1
Chester Township Fire Company
Parkside Fire Company
Claymont Fire Company
Media Fire Hook and Ladder #1 - Station 23
Lower Chichester Volunteer Fire Company
Crozer EMS

Thank you all for your service.

Prayers for all to be safe. 🙏

The gentleman that lost his home is a veteran and unfortunately had no insurance. A gofundme page has been started to help him. This was posted on another page

Thank you for your Fire Service.

Thank you for your quick response. I live next door and my kids were very upset and both had anxiety attacks. I appreciate the ccmc medics who came over to help with them. It was a very scary thing for everyone to go through. Thank you again to the fire dept, ccmc medics and the police officers who were so kind and caring to us.
