The Department responded to the 300 Block of Clayton St. Chester City on the 2nd Alarm Fire assisting @chesterfirefighters @chestercityfirefighters1400 Crews held the RIT until released by Clayton St. Command BC McBreen. While returning we were dispatched to assist @claymontfirecompany13 on the residential fire. The assignment was downgraded and held to 13 units.

Yesterday the Department helped kick off the holiday season by attending the Annual Brookhaven Borough Holiday Parade. @brookhavenfire52 Later in the evening several officers and members attended the @marcushook_trainer_fd Chief’s Alfonse Brooks Chief Banquet. Chief Brooks was presented a plaque by Chief Evans, Deputy Chief Dawson and Assistant Chief D. Evans FF C. Durbano on behalf of the officers, members and staff of the ATFD. Congratulations Chief! Also during the overnight the crew covered Station 68 while they attended the banquet.

The Department was dispatched to assist @marcushook_trainer_fd in 1000 Block of Yates Ave in Marcus Hook, for a building fire. NCC-E-12/13 @claymontfirecompany13 arrived as the FDE and place a hand line in service knocking the fire down located on the rear porch roof. Truck-17/13 arrived as the FDT and started opening up checking for extension. Fire was located on the exterior Charlie side of the structure only. Squad and Engine also made the response. Chief-68 had Yates Ave Command fire was placed under control within 10mins. Companies on scene: @christiana_fire @lowerchifire @upperchifd10 @brandywinehundredfireco11

Today the Truck, Engine, and Utility responded to the 400Blk of Colwyn Ave in Colwyn Boro on the Second Alarm house fire. @darbyfireco04 Chief 4 had the Colwyn command with fire throughout on both sides of a 3 story twin. Members worked alongside numerous companies for over 2 hours to get the fire under control. In the afternoon after returning from the fire, the Squad along with EMS handled 2 seperate accidents in town. 1 involving a motorcycle at Pennell road and Hall Drive and a reported rollover on Knowlton road. 📸: @delcotimes

Today the officers and members along with our brothers and sisters in blue laid to rest Legacy Green Ridge & Aston Beechwood Fireman, @apd.aston officer and current @wegopd Patrolman Josh Micun. Josh will forever be remembered for his warm smile, quick wit and professionalism. But more importantly for his love for his family, his friends and protecting and serving his community both as a firefighter and police officer. Please keep the Micun Family, his friends and all his brothers and sisters in Blue & Red in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and the time ahead. Rest In Peace Brother. The Department has responded to seven emergencies since midnight. 3 Building Fires, 2 Fire Alarms, 1 CO Alarm and this accident with one trapped. The Squad, Engine, EMS, Chief, Deputy and Assistant extricated the driver of this vehicle after hitting a pole and rolling on its side. Chief 17 had the Command.

The officers and members would like to thank everyone who contributed to our food collection for 93.3 WMMR Philadelphia & The Preston & Steve Show Campout for hunger for Philabundance. Over 1400lbs of food and $100 was donated. A special thanks to Sun Valley�High School� students and staff for collecting and donating towards the cause. The Freshman Class crushed it! Thank you member Tommy Benson for organizing the event.

Obituary of Joshua P. Micun Joshua P. Micun, age 37, of Aston, PA, died on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. He was born on February 4, 1984, and was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of 2002, and Delaware County Police Academy. Josh was employed currently at Westtown East Goshen Regional Police. He was named 2019 Officer of the Year. Josh was previously employed with Delaware County Park Police, Upper Providence Police and Aston Police. Josh was a Legacy Member of the Green Ridge and Aston Beechwood Fire Departments. He was a member of the Penn No. 709 (Chester) Masonic Lodge F&AM. He loved grilling/cooking for friends and family, traveling and his newest passion of DJing. Son of the late Paul M. Micun Survivors: Wife: Amanda (Conrad) Micun Children: Hayden and Sophia Micun Mother: Carol Scott Micun Siblings: Adam J. (Tracy) Micun, Amy Micun-Cooke (James) and Jeremy J. Micun Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friday, November 5th from 9:00-10:45AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Truck 17 was dispatched as a replacement to New Castle County Delaware Station 13 Claymont last night. Engine 132 had a fire on the first floor of a three story garden style apartment building with people trapped. While the members from Truck 17 were throwing ground ladders they were alerted to the Delta side of the building. Tower 13s OV had found a victim trapped on the first floor. Members from Truck 17, Tower 13 & Rescues 11 & 39 worked to remove the victim and transfer care to EMS. Engine and Truck 17 completed secondary searches on the rest of the floors before being released.
